Early years

Fawad Afzal Khan was born on November 29, 1981 in Karachi, Pakistan to a Punjabi family.Due to the nature of his father's job, Khan's childhood was spent traveling place to place. He lived in Athens, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Manchester during his youth.When his father retired, Khan returned to Pakistan when he was 13 years old, now living in Lahore. Khan did his A-levels from LGS Lahore and went on to complete his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Lahore.At the young age of 13, Khan began his modeling career.Fawad Khan made his acting debut onstage in a high school play, Manaal, which was directed by a friend of his, Manal Butt.




Bollywood


In 2014, Khan made his debut in Bollywood with the release of his film Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor.A remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1980 hit of the same name starring Rekha and Rakesh Roshan, the film revolves around Sonam Kapoor's character, Dr. Mili Chakravarty, who is a middle class physiotherapist from Delhi.Khan plays Yuvraj Vikram Singh Rathore, Mili's love interest and the son of her patient. While the reviews of the film varied from positive to mediocre, Khan's performance was praised by critics and seen as one of the highlights of the film. Fellow actor, Ayushmann Khurrana concluded that he (Khan) is the new eye candy who can really act.



Personal life

Khan married Sadaf Khan, he met her online at the age of seventeen. and married on 12 November 2005 after eight years of courtship. They have a son Ayaan Khan. Khan and his family currently reside in Lahore, Pakistan. Khan, in a collaboration with his wife, establishes a clothing brand called SILK by Fawad Khan.The debut collection that is Eastern and Western casual styles designed, was launched through a three-day exhibition in Lahore.
